Meet the Prowse Family

Brinn. Blandon. Harper. Lola

I know, I know! You don't have to tell me twice how cute they are!
Brinn is one of the most amazing women I have ever met!
I have not had the privilege of meeting Blandon and Harper yet, but with a mom and wife like Brinn they have to be nothing short of awesome!

They have been dealing with Secondary Infertility for a few years now. They are hoping to adopt their next bundle of joy.

You want to know more about them you say....sure!

Please begin by telling us a little about your family.
Blandon and I met in college and married in August of 2004. We were surprisingly blessed with our son, Harper in 2006 and have now been struggling with unexplained secondary infertility for the past 4 1/2 years. We have a stinky but adorable bulldog, named Lola who keeps us laughing. We enjoy life and being a family.

What are some of your favorite activities to do together as a family?
We love being outside: camping, hiking, exploring, and anything to do with water or the beach. We make pretty awesome blanket forts, and bake the best chocolate chip cookies.

What led you to choose adoption?
Blandon and I have always loved adoption and had a desire to adopt at some point in our lives. As we went through all that infertility entails, we were gently led towards adoption. Over the past year we have been researching like crazy and have fallen in love with the miracle of adoption. We are so excited and feel so blessed to be able to grow our family in such a special way.

What are you looking forward to the most about adoption?
Obviously, growing our family! Not only with another child, but with the relationships that an open adoption provides.

What advice would you give couples who are thinking about adoption or are just starting the adoption process?
Breathe! Beginning the adoption process is so completely overwhelming as there is so much to do and to learn. Read as much as you can, positive and negative. Inform yourselves as much as possible with all sides of the adoption triad. Most importantly take it one day at a time, and pray, pray, pray!
